You stared across the table at the oblivious Danish man. He was laughing at something Lukas had said, you had missed the joke and didn't bother laughing.
Why were you sitting at the table, staring at the man like he was the last piece of chocolate in the entire world. You had your reasons, reasons that he would no doubt laugh at you for.
"Um, Is there something in my hair?" Mathias was staring at you quizzically. You blushed and shook your head.
"Ah, no I was just, um zoning out." You blushed, looking away. He shrugged and turned back to Lukas.
Standing up, you walked into your room, shoulders slumped. Hanatamago was sprawled across your bed, wagging her tail.
"What are you doing here? Why aren't you in Tino's room?" The little dog barely ever left the small man's side. Picking him up you went to Tino's room, gently knocking on the door.
You entered, setting the dog on his bed. Tino smiled and thanked you, however his expression turned sad.
"Are you okay?"
You nodded waving away his concerns. "I'm fine Tino, just you know."
"Still haven't told him?"
Tino nodded, understanding completely. You sat on his bed and patted Hanatamago. She snuffled, rolling onto her back. You patted her tummy, smiling.
"You have to tell him _____." Tino sat next to you, placing his hand on yours. You shook your head, sighing.
"Come on. You know what they say!!" He grinned, standing up and striking a pose. "Better have loved and lost, then never have loved at all."
You rolled your eyes smiling slightly, "Or I can suffer in silence."
Tino nodded and frowned. "Yeah, you could do that too."
You smiled again and patted his shoulder. "Don't worry Tino, I'll figure something out."
You got up and walked back to your room, flopping onto your bed you sighed again. It was going to be hard telling him, then again you probably would never get up enough courage to do that.
Someone knocked lightly on your door. Thinking it was either Tino or Lukas you called for them to enter.
Mathias stepped in, grinning sheepishly. You sat up, a faint blush crossing your cheeks.
"Um, Hi." He gave you a little wave, looking less cocky then normal. You waved back, feeling stupid and nervous.
"You've been talking with Tino a lot, haven't you?"
"Yeah." You shrugged, rubbing the back of your neck, "He's been helping me with a problem."
The Dane grinned. Stuffing his hands in his pockets he leaned forward, "Maybe I can help!!!"
"I don't think so Mathias." You shifted so you were sitting crossed legged, still facing him. Mathias had visibly drooped, even his gravity defying hair seemed to tilt side ways.
"Are you...." He paused as if choosing his next words carefully. "Are you and Tino a couple?"
You let out a laugh, giggling wildly as he stared dumbfounded. After a moment you had regained your composure.
"Y- You don't know?" Mathias shook his head looking slightly panicked. You giggled again, shaking your head at his complete obliviousness.
"Tino is seeing Berwald."
You started to laugh again at the look of utter shock an confusion that crossed the Danish man's face.
"So, you're free?" You stopped laughing abruptly, your face grim.
Was he? No he couldn't be. But maybe......
"That's one way of putting it." You shrugged, he smirked.
"Good, then you won't mind this." He crossed the room in three strides, smashing his lips against yours.
You stiffened, then relaxed. Your arms came up, wrapping around his neck and pulling him closer. He grinned into the kiss, pushing you down onto the bed.
Your hands twined into his hair in an attempt to pull him closer.
You froze and pulled away, frowning at him. Mathias looked dazed and confused.
"Why is your hair so soft?" You reached up and patted the gravity defying hair. You expected to feel gel slicked hair, but instead it was soft like the rest of his hair.
"Lots of conditioner." He grinned. You continued petting his hair.
"So wait.....Your hair naturally sticks up like that?"
"Yup." He pulled you into a sitting position. You were still petting his hair, Mathias laughed, gently pulling your hand away.
"You're not joking Mathias."
"Nope. My hair is 100% Awesome like that."
You raised an eyebrow skeptically. Mathias nuzzled his face against your neck, still grinning. With out realizing it your hands had come up again and were petting his hair.
"You really like my hair don't you?'
"Maybe." You blushed pulling away. His grin grew until it was almost Cheshire cat like.
"Nothing." He tried to stop grinning, but the grin only grew.
"I think in this situation." He paused, the grin still evident on his face, "You would say, Dat Hair."
He laughed as you turned bright red.
